Dele Momodu, a prominent figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), revealed on Wednesday that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), wants to be the king of two political parties. Momodu explained that Wike’s vast and tempting resources make him a highly influential figure.
Momodu’s response came in reaction to an online user who criticized the PDP’s lack of action regarding Wike. The user, known as TENIBEGILOJU202, expressed frustration with the PDP’s perceived reluctance to confront Wike and suggested that Wike might possess significant leverage over PDP leaders, rendering him untouchable.
In response, Momodu stated on the platform: “When a challenging situation arises, one must employ all available skills and wisdom to address it. NYESOM WIKE has access to extraordinary resources, courtesy of the PDP, which ironically are so vast and alluring that they hold immense appeal for many Nigerian politicians. This is the very reason he aims to maintain a leadership role in two political parties simultaneously.”
Wike, a member of the PDP, actively supported President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, working against his own party. Following Tinubu’s victory, he appointed Wike as the Minister of the FCT. Despite public criticism from some Nigerians, the PDP has not taken any action against Wike.
