Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, marked the 90th birthday of his Class 5 teacher, Chief T.N. Ezenwaka, with great reverence.
The governor participated in a special mass service conducted by Bishop Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpalaeke at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Uga, Aguata Council Area, in honor of Ezenwaka.
According to a press statement released by Soludo’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor expressed his deep admiration for Chief Ezenwaka, who had been his “Government teacher” during his Class 5 days at Uga Boys Secondary School.
Governor Soludo praised Ezenwaka’s exceptional teaching abilities and described him as an outstanding and influential teacher who had a lasting impact on him and numerous other students.
He stated, “T.N, as you are fondly called, we have come to celebrate you on your 90th birthday. You have trained many individuals, including myself and Cardinal Okpaleke. Your former students are achieving great success worldwide. You are a remarkable teacher who devoted your life to educating the younger generation. Your dedication and commitment to students’ education have earned you admiration and respect among your students.”
Ezenwaka’s 90th birthday became a moment of both celebration and reflection, with many of his former students, including Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpalaeke, attending in large numbers to honor him and acknowledge his legacy as an exceptional educator.
Students from various schools in Uga also expressed their gratitude to the governor for his unwavering support for education. They appreciated his contributions to improving teaching and learning, as well as his efforts to provide opportunities for their academic growth, referring to him as “Ochendo Awka.”
The mass was attended by notable figures, including Dominic Okafor, the Member representing Aguata Federal Constituency, Anayo Okpaleke, the Member Representing Aguata One 1 State Constituency, and pioneer students of Uga Boys Secondary School, among others.
