Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has officially announced Wednesday, October 4th, as a public holiday in honor of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him.
This announcement was made through a statement released by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Malam Baba Dantiye, on Wednesday in Kano.
Dantiye conveyed the governor’s message, encouraging the people to use this occasion as an opportunity to contemplate the teachings of the revered Prophet and integrate them into their daily lives.
The governor also called upon the citizens to fervently pray for peace and prosperity to prevail not only in the state but throughout Nigeria.
He stated, “We beseech Allah to guide us through these challenging times and grant us an abundant harvest in this rainy season and the upcoming dry farming season.”
