Governor Uba Sani, has appointed Abdulkadir Muazu Mayere as the Secretary to the Kaduna State Government. This decision follows the appointment and swearing-in of Mallam Balarabe Abbas Lawal as the Minister for Environment.
In a statement issued on Monday by Muhammad Lawal Shehu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Kaduna State Governor, it was revealed that Muazu is stepping into the role formerly held by Mallam Balarabe Abbas Lawal, who has taken the oath as the Minister of Environment, as appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The statement further detailed that Mayere brings a wealth of experience, having served in various capacities within the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. These two ministries play a critical role in the socio-economic development of Nigeria, as they are essential in the fight against poverty, hunger, and the attainment of food security.
Additionally, the statement mentioned that Mayere served for 32 years in the Federal Public Service, steadily progressing through the ranks from Medical Officer II to eventually becoming the Director of Sports Medicine at the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2011.
Governor Uba Sani anticipates that the new Secretary to the Kaduna State Government will leverage his extensive expertise in advancing the SUSTAIN Agenda of the current administration. He extended his wishes for Allah’s guidance and protection to Mayere in his new role.
