Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has sacked Noble Atulegwu from his position as the Commissioner for Lands, Survey, and Physical Planning. This action was communicated through a statement issued by Cosmos Iwu, the Secretary to the State Government, on Thursday in Owerri, the state capital.
Additionally, the governor suspended Mbakwe Obi, who serves as both Special Adviser and General Manager at Imo Housing Corporation. The dismissals and suspension were immediate in effect, as stated in the official communication.
The statement released on behalf of the governor reads: “The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has endorsed the immediate suspension of the Commissioner for Lands, Survey, and Physical Planning, Noble Atulegwu. His Excellency has also sanctioned the immediate suspension from office of Mbakwe Obi, who holds the dual position of SA/GM at Imo Housing Corporation.”
Governor Uzodimma recently secured victory for his second consecutive term, ensuring his continued tenure for an additional four years.
