Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has appointed six new District Heads in Gwandu and Zuru Emirates. The announcement was made in a news release provided to the media in Birnin Kebbi on Monday and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris.
According to Alhaji Garba Umar Dutsinmari, the Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, the appointments were approved based on merit. The new District Heads in the Zuru Emirate are Adamu Garba for Robah and Usman Mohammed Dunga for Kyabu in Danko Chiefdom.
In the Gwandu Emirate, the newly appointed District Heads are Sahabi Ibrahim mai Alelu for Dangamaji in Jega Local Government, General Nasir Muhammad Jega for the newly created Narawa, known as the Baraden Nassarawa in Birnin Kebbi. Additionally, Alhaji Mahe Dikko Zauro has been appointed as the District Head of Zaria Kala-Kala in Koko Besse Local Government, and Alhaji Mohammed Kabiru Halima D/Galatians, along with the creation of a new village head at Rugga Dikko village area in Sardauna Nassarawa district.
The governor expressed his wishes for the new appointees, praying for increased wisdom and capability to fulfill their duties diligently.
