The management of Olivia University in Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi, is actively recruiting Nigerian students to enroll in courses such as medicine/surgery, nursing, pharmacy, and more. This was announced by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Josephat Obi-Oguejiofor, during an interactive session held in Awka, the capital of Anambra State.
The university has also revealed plans to offer scholarships to Nigerian students interested in pursuing these courses. According to Prof. Obi-Oguejiofor, this scholarship program is the institution’s commitment to providing quality education to Nigerians and the broader African community.
He explained that the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing have already commenced at the university, with the Pro-chancellor, Sir Chukwuma, generously endowing scholarships for foundation students in these faculties.
The scholarship program proposed by the Pro-chancellor would allow Nigerian students to study medicine/surgery, pharmacy, and nursing at half the regular tuition fees. This presents a significant opportunity for Nigerians to access high-quality education at an institution that is dedicated to academic excellence.
