President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ahmed Galadima Aminu as the new Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). According to a statement from Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s spokesperson, Aminu will assume the position of PTDF head for an initial four-year term. The announcement was made on Tuesday evening.
This appointment follows the submission of a retirement request by the outgoing Executive Secretary/CEO, Bello Aliyu Gusau, as stated by the presidency in its official statement. Gusau is scheduled to commence a 90-day pre-retirement leave starting on September 26, 2023, while Aminu will take charge of PTDF management.
Prior to his new role, Aminu held the position of General Manager in the Education and Training Department at PTDF.
The statement, signed by Ngelale, stated, “The President has directed the new Executive Secretary/CEO of PTDF, Ahmed Galadima Aminu, to serve in an acting capacity until he officially commences his new four-year term on December 26, 2023. The President extends his best wishes to the new PTDF Executive Secretary/CEO in the execution of his duties.”
