The Acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has authorized the assignment of dedicated Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) to various Commands and Formations within the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement released by the Force headquarters, it was emphasized that these appointments are crucial for improving communication, transparency, and community engagement in the respective areas of responsibility.
The recently appointed PPROs comprise DSP Chukwukadibia O. Omojola, who will assume the role of PPRO for the Railway Command; ASP Mansir Hassan, who will serve as the PPRO for Kaduna State Command; ASP Nahum Daso Kenneth, appointed as the PPRO for Borno State Command; and ASP Mayegun Aminat Oluwakemi, who will take on the position of PPRO at the Force Criminal Investigations Annex in Lagos.
These officers were carefully chosen based on their professional competence, communication abilities, and their commitment to nurturing positive relationships between the police and the public. They are expected to play a crucial role in establishing trust between the Nigeria Police Force and the local communities.
