Governor Alex Otti has officially commissioned the reconstruction of three roads in Aba, undertaken by the Abia State government. The roads commissioned on Sunday include MCC by Old Express Road, Umuimo Road, and Udeagbala Road, which serves as a bypass route, running through the Abia State University Teaching Hospital and diverting traffic away from the bustling streets of Aba.
In his address during the ceremonies, Governor Otti highlighted the significance of completing these projects in contributing to the state’s economic revitalization. He emphasized that his administration is committed to constructing robust and enduring infrastructure.
Governor Otti, acknowledging that several road projects in Aba had previously been awarded to inexperienced construction companies, stated that his administration exercised caution in selecting reputable civil engineering firms for the construction of these three roads.
He affirmed that the road projects were part of his campaign pledges to the residents and investors in Aba, and he assured that his ongoing road construction and rehabilitation program would encompass every part of Abia State.
Governor Otti, underscoring his accountability to both God and the electorate, pledged to continue constructing more roads within the city of Enyimba. He urged the residents of Aba to diligently fulfill their tax obligations to the government to facilitate further infrastructure development.
